Mary, I was a social Social Studies/English teacher, 1959-61. I loved that school and hated to leave, but went to Germany to adopt two wondeful new-born babies. David Cohen weas one of my best friends at Irvin. We produced the first Senior Follies, 1960. Loved that school,!!!
Happy Birthday and many, many more. My wonderful wife, Sybil, and I are 88. These truly are the "golden years."
Dennis, I just have to add this. Your birthday is August 26. You were born in the year of 1945. I'll never forget the summer of that year. I was in basic training on the scorching hot dessert of California for the invasion of Japan. My buddies and I had our lives saved by the atomic bombs. No invasion !!! One-half million US Army soldiers lives were saved that August 1945 by the dropping of those two atomic bombs! Was the dropping of those bombs justified !!! To all we soldiers in training for the invasion of Japan, it certanly was !!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! AND many, many more !!!~
Happy Birthday and many, many more!

Oh how I loved Irvin Hi !!!! My Social Studies and English classes were, for me, so enjoyable.
AND to think: The last thing I wanted to do was teach. I loved every minute of my 38 years.
I became a teacher so i could go to Germany to adopt my children. AND tbat I did! Named my son David for David Cohen. He was the most talented person I have ever known. As class sponsor, 1960, I asked David to help me stage the first Senior Follies. I had no idea that he produced stage productions in the 1950s for Harriod's (sp.?) Casino, Reno. David had those seniors singing and dancing like pro's. Amazing!!!
